2019
The year we first pitched our canvas tent in this barren canyon, listening to the midnight silence.
9
Exclusive hand-crafted adobe suites, each carefully oriented toward the sunset ridge.
OUR GENESIS
Six years ago, both exhausted by the relentless cadence of urban living, we packed an old truck and drove toward the quiet high desert. When our headlights illuminated this sheltered canyon of wild sage and red basalt, something in us finally unclenched.
We knew immediately that we weren’t meant to build a typical resort. We wanted to build a haven of silence—just 9 bespoke dwellings sculpted directly from river clay, recovered cedar poles, and local quarry stone. Every window was positioned with intention: to capture the first dawn light across your pillow, and to frame the dramatic indigo starfields without a single flickering screen in sight.
KORA is not an escape from reality; it is an invitation back to what is genuine. Good warm sourdough, crackling pinyon pine fires, and the freedom to spend an entire afternoon reading without an itinerary.

HOW WE HOST
The Three Promises of KORA
Simple, quiet principles designed to make you feel completely at ease from the
moment your feet touch the sand.
HOSPITALITY WITHOUT PRETENSE
Real Desert Warmth
No stiff front desks, no clipboard checklists. Homemade sourdough and warm honeyed figs arrive in a woven basket at your doorstep each morning. At dusk, we light your stone hearth fire with fragrant desert cedar so your room is glowing before nightfall.

ECOLOGICAL STEWARDSHIP
Treading Lightly
We draw pure energy from the intense desert sun and collect every drop of seasonal rainwater through underground cisterns. 480 acres surrounding the inn remain permanently wild, offering safe haven for desert kit foxes, horned owls, and ancient yuccas.
100% Solar • Wild Acreage Reserve
DEEP RESTORATIVE SLOWNESS
Time to Unwind
You will find no blaring televisions or hurried itineraries. Just a library of poetry, natural wool daybeds for afternoon naps, private soaking tubs beneath the open cosmos, and deep sleep untroubled by streetlights.

"When people arrive here, their shoulders are up near their ears from months of deadlines. By the second night, watching the moon rise over the red cliffs, they begin to remember who they were before the world told them to hurry."

How do we reach KORA from the nearest airport?
Most travelers fly into the regional airport (approximately 90 minutes away). From there, the journey is an easy, scenic drive winding past red canyon ridges and open skies.
Is breakfast truly included every day?
Yes, completely. Every morning between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, a hand-packed basket arrives quietly at your private porch or patio.
Can we work remotely if necessary?
While KORA is designed as a gentle sanctuary from digital noise and notifications, each private suite is equipped with high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi and a quiet cedar writing desk should urgent deadlines arise.
